01/23/2011My biggest complaint with these off site parking facilities is the shuttle pick up experience. On this occasion we waited 17 minutes for the shuttle, which in my opinion is pushing the limit of acceptable. Then it took another 25 minutes to get back to the Marriott
LAX Parking Facility (which all together is flat out unacceptable). We made 5 additional stops after ours (8 total) and filled the shuttle to the point of standing room only. The shuttle driver didn't help the passengers with their bags (unless the passengers waited curbside for the driver to assist, which amounted to a "standoff" at each stop until someone gave in).
The shuttle van was fine and the ride after finally leaving the airport terminal loop was short and uneventful. We opted for valet and after texting The Marriott of out arrival our car was waiting for us as expected.
Given the number of passengers on the shuttle the checkout was somewhat slow and the valet-ed cars were all "boxed in" at checkout, but it did manage to clear out faster than I expected.
I do want to mention that the staff at the Marriott Facility were friendly and helpful, so they weren't all bad...but I'm still searching for a better/faster overall experience!
