08/30/2010THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE. The manager is a LYING, RUDE, OBNOXIOUS JERK. Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I wish I had read all the negative reviews on Yelp because I sure would've gone somewhere else.
The manager told me his name was Mike but I think he was lying about that too. I arrived at 6:30 on 8/26/10. After I filled out the paper work, Mike said to sign the form saying I released them of all liability. I said "If something gets stolen and you have my key, then you're not responsible?" He said, "Yes that's what it means but it never happens since we have security cameras." I said, "Well you have a key. Someone can open the door and take something and by signing this I'm saying your not liable."
He says yes but if I'm worried, I can write down everything that's in the car. So I wrote down a list of valuable items I had in my trunk and glove compartment including paperwork and receipts. He says that's not clear enough, I have to write down the type of paper work and receipts. I wrote registration paperwork and auto repair receipts to clarify. (Documents I keep in the car as a permanent record) Then he tells me I have to cross it off because it's too vague. I said he told me to specify what the papers were and I did. Why do I have to cross it off? So then he says I have to bring the receipts and paperwork into the office so he can go through it otherwise I have to cross it off.
I walk to my car, bring in the papers and put them before him. I show him the registration and I show him the repair receipts. He lifts up a paper, glances at it, tosses it aside and says I have to cross paperwork and receipts off of my liability form or PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE. I've been there 15 minutes, my flight leaves in 90 mins and he wants me to go somewhere else? I said I'll lock the glove compartment then. No, he says I still have to cross this off or go somewhere else. He's telling me to go. I never once said I wanted to go somewhere. I don't know that area. I don't know where to go. But I was tired of his rudeness so I said fine, give me my deposit back.
I reserved on cheapparking.org and he said, I have to to get it from them even though the page directs me to
LAX Park Place. He was rude and insulting and said I wasn't normal and no one would want to steal from my car anyway since it wasn't a Mercedes.
It's almost 7pm and I'm worried about missing my flight so I cross of receipts and paperwork. I'm fuming because I want to cuss this jerk out. The whole time he's being condescending and insulting me in front of other customers. If he had been nice, I probably would have crossed it off in the beginning but he was such a jerk.
When I came back on Sun 8/29, he was there working and whereas everyone else who rode on the shuttle with me had their paperwork on the counter and ready to sign, mine wasn't there. I had to ask this other guy who found it in a binder. I was the only one who's paperwork wasn't ready. He's a spiteful, vindictive, lying jerk. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.
There's so many other comparable places that get much better Yelp reviews.
